Frequently asked questions
Straight answers for parents and guardians.
What is Jadoodle?
Jadoodle is an AI storytelling app for children aged 5–10 that turns a photo of a child's own toys into characters and animated comic episodes they direct themselves. Your child decides who the characters are and what happens; Jadoodle draws and animates it.
How does Jadoodle work?
You photograph two to four toys, and Jadoodle turns each into a cartoon character. Your child names them, picks powers and a world, then says what happens. Jadoodle makes an animated comic episode with voices and sounds, and remembers it for the next one.
Every episode ends with three choices, or your child can invent their own.
What age is Jadoodle for?
Jadoodle is designed for children aged 5 to 10, used together with a parent or guardian. Younger children can speak their ideas instead of typing, and older children enjoy building long-running worlds with many episodes and characters.
Is Jadoodle safe for kids?
Yes. Only parents have accounts, a parent must give consent before AI features work, and there are no ads, no trackers and no chat with strangers. Rude or branded words are blocked and stories stay gentle and kid-friendly.
Are my child's photos stored?
Only small cut-out pictures of each toy are kept, privately in your account. The full original photo is deleted once the toy pictures are made. Please photograph toys only; if a person's face is detected the photo is not saved at all.
Do I need an account?
You can try the example universe without an account. To create your own characters and save stories, a parent signs in with email or Google. Children never have their own account, and no child's personal details are collected.
How much does Jadoodle cost?
Jadoodle is free to try today, including comic episodes and a few free AI movies. Family packs with extra movies are coming soon, and we will always show prices clearly before anything is charged.
Does Jadoodle work on phones?
Yes. Jadoodle runs in the web browser on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers. There is nothing to install, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Can we save and share episodes?
Yes. A parent can save any comic episode as a video, download AI movies and share them with family through the phone's share sheet, for example on WhatsApp. Sharing sits behind a grown-up check so children cannot share alone.
What toys work best?
Toys with clear shapes and colours work best: dinosaurs, cars, robots, dolls, soft toys or homemade creations. Place them close together in good light with a plain background. Characters are always original, so branded toys get new names.
Can my child use their own ideas and voice?
Absolutely. Children can type or tap the microphone to speak names, powers, world ideas and what happens next. They can add their own personality traits too. The story always follows the child's ideas rather than replacing them.
